Gift of painting to Rhyl RNLI station

2015-08-10 11.50.0110/8/2015. Mr Dennis Houghton from Manchester visited the station shop today, and presented the station with a framed canvas painting of the station’ s Mersey Class lifeboat 12-24 “Lil Cunningham”, which he had painted himself.
Mr. Houghton had planned to visit the station earlier on in the year, after presenting a similar painting to the Lytham-St-Anne’s crew, but had been delayed for reasons beyond his control.
Paul Frost MBE (Deputy second Coxswain and Lifeboat Press Officer) accepted the gift on behalf of the crew, saying “We are delighted to receive this unique painting from Mr. Houghton, and it will be hung in the station’s committee room for all to see”.

Pictured is Mr. Houghton in the Rhyl station souvenir shop, with this painting.
