Rhyl’s All-weather lifeboat crew were paged at 5.17am on Friday 14th August, to stand-by as the Douglas Gas Complex, 12 miles out, had signalled a full evacuation muster. As the crew were arriving and getting ready, the coxswain contacted Holyhead Coastguard. After a couple of minutes the coastguard said the muster was cancelled and the crew could stand down at 5.22am.
