Rhyl RNLI assist yacht with engine failure approaching Rhyl Harbour

A yacht approaching Rhyl harbour to lay-up for the winter encountered engine failure about 1/2 mile off Rhyl harbour. The two people on board put the anchor down and called Holyhead Coastguard. Rhyl’s All-weather Mersey class lifeboat was launched; set up a tow; and successfully took the yacht into the harbour where they were assisted by the Harbour Master and local volunteer coastguards.
