Rhyl RNLI treasurer also awarded with a gold badge

BillNewtonMr William Newton (pictured at his volunteer role with the Corris narrow-gauge railway in Mid Wales) has been awarded the RNLI’s gold badge for over 20 years’ service to the Rhyl branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. William (Bill) says ” I am very honoured to be awarded this badge. It is totally unexpected. I do not do this voluntary work to receive awards, but I am very happy to have been selected for the badge”.
Bill will receive his badge at an event later in the year.
